When are you available to walk my dog?
We are open Mondays (excluding bank holidays) to Fridays for our dog walking and pet care services. Weekends by request.
Do you walk dogs off the lead?
Yes, we will only let your dog off lead once we have written consent (registration form) from yourself and knowledge that it is safe to do so.
How many dogs do you walk at one time?
We walk in medium sized packs based on the mix of the dogs in the group. We want group walks to be fun, calm and a good source of exercise for your dog/s. We have 2 handlers to every large pack walk.
Do you arrange the pick up and drop off for my dog?
We will pick up and drop off your dog for walks within a certain mileage (at our discretion).
Does your service cater for all dog breeds?
We meet all dogs before we walk them and each new dog is subject to a trial period. Any instances of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse to walk any dog. Currently we only have room for small to medium sized breeds.
Do you meet me and my dog prior to starting?
Yes we do, we offer a meet and greet service where we will come to your house to meet you and your dog and discuss our services and how they will work for you.
What happens if my dog does not get on with another dog?
Unfortunately we cannot take unsociable, or aggressive dogs on group walks. However this can in special cases be hard to predict, if we find an imbalance within the group on a group walk, we will switch accordingly and inform you of our decision. We want all of our dogs to enjoy their time.
Where do you walk?
We aim to walk locally so less time travelling and more time walking. We love going to local parks, public fields/footpaths, beaches, the river and forest walks.
What happens in bad weather?
Rain doesn't put us off! We aim to towel dry your dog as much as we can before dropping off, please leave a towel out. In very hot weather your dogs may be walked for shorter periods of time or spend time chilling out in the shade and walks may be much earlier on in the day than normal. We will always ensure your dog is safe at all times and have access to drinking water and if very hot a water source to cool down. In severe weather conditions we may cancel a walk.
I only require occasional walks, would that be ok?
Yes. We are happy to provide services as and when you require, assuming we have availability.
What do you do in the event of an emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. During our initial consultation, we require you to fill out a registration form which includes all emergency contact details and current vet contact details. If veterinary assistance is needed, we will take your dog to our vet or the nearest possible one. Exact protocol is stated in our Terms & Conditions. We are fully trained in Canine first aid and carry first aid kits with us should we need them.
Are you insured?
Yes we are fully insured with PetPlan Sanctuary.
What do I do if I need to cancel a walk?
Please contact us by text or telephone within 48 hours to ensure you incur no charges. (At our discretion). If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of your dogs walk there will be a cancellation charge.
Do you need a key? What security measures do you have?
Most of our clients provide us with a key, some have key safe boxes on their properties where we hold the code. Your key will be kept secure and away from personal information and no key can be identified to any property. In the event of your key being lost or stolen, we will advise you immediately. Your personal information will never be sold or discussed with any 3rd parties in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
My dog has not been spayed or neutered, can he/she still walk with you?
This can be discussed in the initial consultation, each dog will be considered separately, but we reserve the right to refuse any dog.
